Lorenzo Jeff 'L.J.' Bales

Lorenzo Jeff "L.J. or Jeff" Bales, 89, was reunited with the love of his life on February 5, 2015. L.J. was born on August 26, 1925 to the late Caleb Jefferson Bales and Dorsie Jane White in Cement, OK. Upon graduation from high school, L.J. was a Radioman in the US Navy from 1943-1946. Following his years in the service, L.J. graduated from Oklahoma A&M University, now Oklahoma State, with Bachelor of Science in Commerce. L.J. was a proud veteran of World War II and was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 308. L.J. married Estlean Marie Webb on April 29, 1955 and together the couple had 3 children: Shelley Ann, Dawnda Jane, and Jeffrey Webb. L.J. worked at ANCO Manufacturing as the Director of Purchasing until he retired. Grandpa, as he was known to his 5 grandkids, will always be remembered for his love of the Oklahoma State Cowboys, Oklahoma City Thunder, and his witty sense of humor. L.J. is survived by: daughter, Shelley Lamon and husband, Bob of Coweta, OK; daughter, Dawnda Willibey and husband, Dick of Tulsa, OK; granddaughter, Andrea Davis and husband Phillip of Broken Arrow, OK; grandsons, Ryan Bales of San Diego, CA; Jackson Willibey of Tulsa, OK; & Mitchell & Caleb Lamon of Coweta, OK; brother, Roy Gene Pickard and wife Eunice of Rogers, AR; and sister, Wynema Webster and husband, Bob of Warner, OK. He is preceded in death by: the love of his life, Estlean Webb Bales; son, Jeffrey Webb Bales; brothers, Kenneth and Vernon Bales and Robert Pickard; and sisters, Juanita Smith and Charlotte Webb.
