A loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother and uncle, Lorenzo Álvarez, 60 years of age, passed away in Denton, Texas on Saturday, February 6, 2021.

Lorenzo Álvarez is preceded in death by his parents Alfredo R. and Consuelo R. Álvarez of Nogales, Arizona. He is survived by his wife, Maria Del Carmen Álvarez and son, Víctor Álvarez of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; a daughter, Holly Álvarez of Tucson, Arizona; his 11 siblings of Arizona: Alfredo Álvarez Jr. (Marisela), Margot Hernandez (Pablo), Jesus Álvarez (Pearl), Maria Álvarez, Angelita Álvarez (Ruben), Eulalia Noriega (John), Frances Stinnett (Leo), Alejandro Álvarez (Sonia), Marco Álvarez (Alis), Alicia Álvarez-Huerta (Fernando), step-sibling, Mario Estrada (Bertha), 9 in-laws of Arizona, Texas, Mexico and 58 nieces and nephews.

Lorenzo's dedication as an executive in the hospitality industry spans over a 30-year period. He leaves behind many friends/co-workers in the states of Wisconsin, Arizona, Oklahoma, Florida, and Texas.  He positioned himself as a director of various hotel operations and more recently as the Night Operations Manager at the WinStar World Casino and Hotel in Oklahoma. Lorenzo embodied a tremendous work ethic; He was a mentor, a great leader, a friend and a "great boss."

His loving, humble, kind-heartedness, calm demeanor, yet jovial and unique sense of humor made interaction, communication or time spent with him memorable. He brought laughter and joy to everyone he met and to every moment spent with him. His loved ones will always carry Lorenzo in their hearts.

A viewing for immediate family with virtual access for extended family and friends will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home & Cremations in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at 11:00 a.m. (CST) via this website link https://webcast.funeralvue.com/events/viewer/47695. A prayer and rosary will be recited by Father Ken Harder.

A memorial service will be held in Nogales, Arizona at a later date. A sincere appreciation to the countless co-workers who became like family to Lorenzo Álvarez in the various states where he worked. A special "Thank You" to the staff of WinStar World Casino for their support. The Álvarez family asks that flowers be reserved for the service in Arizona.
