Lorene Bond

Lorene Jo Bond, age 78, longtime resident of Coweta departed this life on Friday morning, June 25, 2010 at her home. She was born on December 3, 1931 in Coweta, OK to Grover and Bessie (Davis) Dodson. Lorene was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother to her family. She grew up in Coweta and attended Coweta Public Schools. Lorene and Earl Leroy Bond were united in marriage on March 7, 1951 in Coweta, OK. She was a homemaker for most of her life. Lorene's hobbies included reading, shopping, and she loved spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by all of her loved ones and friends. Lorene is lovingly survived by husband of 59 years, Earl Leroy Bond of the home; four daughters, Patricia Lee Fox of Catoosa, OK, Vicki Diana Robbins and her husband, George, of Vinita, OK, Tracey Ellen Hunton and her husband, Patrick, of Verdigris, OK, and Jody Lynn Scarbrough and Joe, of Coweta, OK; one brother, Aaron Dodson of Broken Arrow, OK; two sisters, Emma Jean Williams of Wister, OK and Kathline of Oklahoma City, OK; one sister-in-law, Stella Dodson of Coweta, OK; eight grandchildren, Bryon Fox and his wife, Becki, K.C. Fox and his wife, Hannah, Keith Robbins and his wife, Christy, Jamie Bynum and her husband, Kreg, Heather Parker and her husband, Tim, David Daniel Rice and his wife, Amy, Josh Rice and his wife, Brittney, and Haley Hunton; fourteen great grandchildren, Alexis Dobbs, Checotah Fox, Taylor Fox, Roper Young, Cash Young, Jacob Fox, Chance Fox, Blake Robbins, Cameron Hensley, Bailey Bynum, Avery Bynum, Timothy Parker, Vincent Parker, and David Dylan Rice; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, and one sister. Funeral services for Lorene will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Wright Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta with Pastor David Rice officiating.
