Lorene Bailey

Lorene (Chance) Bailey of Coweta, OK departed this life on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at her home. She went to meet her husband in her heavenly home. Lorene was born in Stilwell, OK to Jasper Mathis and Cora Alice (Hames) Chance. Lorene was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother to her family. She received her education at the Sunnyside School and Coweta High School. Lorene and Willie Charles Bailey were united in marriage on October 2, 1940 in Broken Arrow, OK. She owned and operated Bailey Drilling Company from 1952 to the present time. Her hobbies included playing bingo and slot machines. Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and five brothers. Lorene is survived by her special friend, Jim Jackson of Catoosa, OK; one son, Dan Bailey and his wife, Terry, of Coweta, OK; two daughters, Wanda Lynch and her husband, Jim, of Colorado Springs, CO and Patrica Eckman of Ft. Collins, CO; one sister, Hazel Potter of Oregon; six grandchildren, Jim Lynch, Jennifer Lynch, Zachary Eckman, Adam Eckman, Johnson Bailey and his wife, Summer, and Elizabeth Bailey; her special great grandson, Jackson A. Meija; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Family will greet friends from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at Wright Funeral Home in Coweta, OK.
