Lola B. Jackson, age 75, lifelong Coweta resident went to be her Lord and Savior on Saturday evening, April 10, 2021 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Lola was born on September 7, 1945 in Coweta, Oklahoma and was the daughter of James Roscoe and Ora Mae (Moreland) Wheeler. She was a 1963 graduate of Coweta High School. Lola married the love of her life, Albert R. “Sonny” Jackson, Jr. on March 31, 2004 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She owned and operated Lola’s Liquor Store in Coweta from 1990 to 2006. Lola enjoyed camping and spending time with her family.
Lola is survived by her husband, Sonny Jackson of the home in Coweta, Oklahoma; one son, Kevin Satterfield and wife Shelly of Coweta, Oklahoma; one daughter, Sandra Satterfield and husband Robert Gay of Coweta, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Karissa Satterfield and husband Tyler of Coweta, Oklahoma, Drew Satterfield and companion Grace of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Christian Satterfield of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Koltan Satterfield of Coweta, Oklahoma, and Roscoe Gay of Coweta, Oklahoma; one great granddaughter, Hadley Haskell; four sisters, Maxine Merrel of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Wilma Beller and husband Johnny of Coweta, Oklahoma, Verna Young and husband Fred of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Sue Hembree and husband Sonny of Haskell, Oklahoma; two brothers, Carl Wheeler of Pryor, Oklahoma and Harlan Wheeler and wife Cindy of Coweta, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Lola was preceded in death by her parents, James Roscoe and Ora Mae Wheeler; two sisters, Naomi Marshall and Anna Mae Kirkland; and four brothers, James Wheeler, JD Wheeler, Owen Wheeler, and Raymond Wheeler.
Viewing will be from 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta with the family present to receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Services celebrating Lola’s life will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, Oklahoma. Lola will be laid to rest at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers are Jeff Broccard, Tyler Satterfield, Drew Satterfield, Daxton Gay, Koltan Satterfield, and Roscoe Gay.
