Lois I. Meadows

Lois I. Meadows, age 77, longtime resident of Coweta went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday morning, February 27, 2015 at her home in Coweta, OK surrounded by her family. Lois was born on November 23, 1937 in Caulfield, MO to John Raymond and Effie (Howard) Hensley. She married John Meadows on June 16, 1956 in Coweta, OK. Lois was a homemaker who loved caring for her family and will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Coweta, OK. Lois enjoyed sewing, cooking, traveling to Branson and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Raymond and Effie Hensley and 2 sisters, Ella Mae Slife and Faye Allen-Denton. Lois is survived by her husband of 58 years, John Meadows of Coweta, OK; 1 son, Kirby Meadows and wife, Robin, of Coweta, OK; 1 daughter, Robin (Meadows) Morrow-Weisberg and husband, David, of Coweta, OK; 2 sisters, Ann Scott of Coweta, OK and Shirley Renshaw and husband, Bill, of Coweta, OK; 1 brother, Steve Hensley and wife, Danna, of Coweta, OK; 6 grandchildren, Robert Brandon Meadows and wife, Heather, Nickole Elaine Barr and husband, Brandon, John Michael Morrow, Jason Heath Morrow and Rebekah, Tiffany Weisberg and Stephanie Weisberg; 11 great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Jaron, Caden, Gavin, Charles, Edwin, Myka, Faith, Hayli, Malani and Paizlei; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Viewing will be from 12 PM - 6 PM on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the funeral home with the family greeting friends from 4 PM - 6 PM. Funeral services celebrating the life of Lois will be at 2 PM on Monday, March 2, 2015 at the Church of Christ in Coweta, OK with Rex Shrum officiating. Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers are Denny Slife, Dwayne Slife, Dale Slife, Rodney Allen, Roger Allen, Greg Allen, Randy Scott, Brad Renshaw, Robbie Renshaw, Shane Hensley, Kendall Meadows, Randall Meadows, Brent Meadows and Wade Moss.
