Graveside services honoring and remembering Leonard Hardison will be held 10:00am., Friday, August 31, 2018 at Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow. A visitation will be held at Kennedy-Kennard Funeral Home in Catoosa on August 30th from 6pm-8pm.
Leonard was born June 9, 1930 in Tulsa, the son of Authur Hardison and Anna (Kelso)
Hardison. Leonard was a lifelong resident of Tulsa. He grew up in a big family, the next to the youngest son in a family of ten children. He attended School at Webster, and afterward joined the US Navy, serving during the Korean War. He was a welder by trade, retiring after a 35-year career with Texaco Refinery. Mr. Hardison was a devoted father and husband.
Leonard enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and canning his harvest.
Leonard is preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Roxine (Shephard) who passed in April, 2006 after 49 years of marriage, the last ten years of which Leonard devoted his life to her care; all of his brothers: Bill, Marion, Ray, Jim, John, and Frank; and two sisters:
Bernice and Betty.
Leonard is survived by three sons: Ken Hardison of Tulsa, David and Debbie Hardison of Sperry, and Mark Hardison of Tulsa; one sister: Norma Jean of Tulsa; grandchildren:
Scott, Dusty, Adam, Alex, and Zareena; great-grandchildren: Hallie, Maisyn, David, Evie, Hayden, and Jack; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Leonard's honor to the American Legion Mohawk Post 308 in Tulsa (918) 437-1635
