Leona Fern (Sluder) Clark was born January 21, 1916 to Frank and Fannie Sluder in Mountain Grove Missouri. Soon after the family made their way to Oklahoma where in 1929 they settled in Coweta. In 1928, at the age of twelve, she gave her heart to the Lord and remained faithful to Him until He took her home on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the age of 99. At the time of death she was the oldest and longest standing member of the Church of God of Prophecy located in Coweta, Oklahoma where she was a member for 86 years. Fern married Clyde Clark from the Weer community on December 25, 1938. To this union was born three children all having preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her death two granddaughters, Natalie Morgan and husband Ryan of Austin, Texas; Rachael Conners and her husband Mark of Coweta, Oklahoma; two great grandchildren, Marky and Grace Conners, and a daughter-in-law Debbie Clark all of whom she loved very much. Fern Clark was a very active member in her community and church and will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Viewing will be from 9 AM - 8 PM on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8 PM. Funeral services celebrating Fern's life will be at 1 PM on Friday, October 30, 2015 at the Coweta Church of God of Prophecy in Coweta, OK with Pastor Larry Duncan officiating and Pastor D. Frank Hughes and Pastor Robert Shaw assisting. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK.
