Leo Dwayne Harbison, age 61, of Haskell (formerly of Coweta) was born on June 27, 1955 in Harper, Kans. and was the son of Lois Duvall. Leo passed away on his birthday, Monday, June 27, 2016 at Haskell Care Center in Haskell, Okla. He and Cheryle (Switzer) Harbison were married on March 26, 1974 in Meade, Kans. Leo worked in the oil field as a derrick hand for 20 years until he retired. He enjoyed fishing, going to the casino and playing dominoes and chess. Leo was preceded in death by his parents and 1 son, Timothy Harbison. Leo is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cheryle Harbison of the home in Haskell, Okla.; 2 sons, Walter Harbison and wife, Jackie of Coweta, Okla. and Eric Welker and wife, Janet of Meade, Kans.; 1 daughter, Colleen Thomas and husband, Joe of Ponca City, Okla.; 1 brother, Guy Baker; 1 sister, Glenda Baggs; 7 grandchildren, Kristi Welker, Erika Welker, Raistlin Welker, Charles Welker, Nathan Thomas, Jaxie Harbison and Jenna Harbison; 2 great grandchildren, Christian Welker and Timothy Welker; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Viewing will be from 9 AM - 7 PM on Saturday, Saturday, July 2, 2016. Services celebrating Leo's life will be at 2 PM on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, Okla. with Chaplain Tom Smith of Physician's Choice Hospice officiating.
