Latasha Nacole Colbert

Began to fill the pages of her book on February 1, 1976.  She was born to Lewis (Dee Dee) Colbert and Joyce Wilson of Okmulgee.  She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 29, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

She attended Okmulgee Public Schools.  She went on to pursue work in the nursing field for many years.

She moved to Coweta in 2010, where she worked in the childcare field for many years.

She was a good mother, caregiver, kindhearted, and friendly.  She loved life, even when she was sad, she was happy.  She enjoyed life to the fullest.

Preceding her in death was her dad, Lewis Colbert of Okmulgee, grandparents, James and Estella Wilson of Okmulgee, and uncles, James Wilson, Bernand Wilson, Raymond Wilson, Clifford Wilson, Larry Wilson, and David Wilson, all of Okmulgee.

She leaves in God’s care her one child, Josiah (Wilson) Colbert; her mother, Joyce Wilson; four sisters, Markesha Wilson, Mariha Wilson, Alyssia Wilson, and Lashana Colbert, all of Okmulgee; two brothers, Lewis Colbert Jr. of Okmulgee and Laron Colbert of Texas; niece, Janyia Wilson of Okmulgee; aunties, Cheryl Henry of Okmulgee, Cynthia and Ronald Jackson of Texas, Carol Wilson of Okmulgee, and Jackie Colbert of Okmulgee; uncle, Ronnie Wilson of Okmulgee; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other friends who loved her.

A Celebration of Latasha’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 26, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma.
