Larry Eugene Hall

Larry Eugene Hall went to be with his Lord on April 24, 2018 at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, OK. Memorial services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Yale Avenue Christian Church in Tulsa and at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at First Christian Church in Perry, OK with Pastor Andy Campbell officiating. There will be a private interment at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK. Services are under the care of Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home, 210 S. Broadway, Coweta, OK. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2018. Larry was born in rural Coweta, OK on January 31, 1931 to W. A. (Bill) and Jessie L. (Hoffman) Hall. He was the president of his Senior Class and graduated from Coweta High School in 1949. After service as an aircraft mechanic in the Navy during the Korean conflict, he attended Oklahoma A & M/Oklahoma State University and graduated with a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1960. He was a Registered Professional Engineer in Oklahoma. In 1961, Ed Malzahn hired Larry with the intention of bringing hydraulics to Charles Machine Works. Almost all of his professional life was spent working at the factory in Perry, OK. Larry and Rilla Fay Phillips were married on December 28, 1952. They were the parents of four children; Alan, of Denver, CO; Deborah (Carl) of Tulsa, OK; Stefan(Andrea) of Stillwater, OK, and Joel (Kendra) of Stillwater, OK. Larry was a Grandad to Brandon Pomeroy, Brittany Hall Stines, Matthew Pomeroy, Tyler Pomeroy, Travis Hall, Justine Hall Elliott, Abigail Hall, Tessa Pomeroy, Miriam Hall, Mary Elizabeth Hall, Andrew Hall, Ashton Hall, and Charlie Hall. He had 6 great grandchildren; Natalie Stines, Evan Stines, Jayden Pomeroy, Kenna Pomeroy, Jacqueline Pomeroy, and Malin Hall. His surviving siblings are Joyce Potter, Coweta, OK, Wanda Hall, Tulsa, OK, Druchel (Trish) Hall, Coweta, OK, brother in law, Jack Price, Owasso, OK, Shirley Denton, Coweta, OK, Beverley Steeley (R. C.), Hulbert, OK, Paula (Royce) Fitzgerald, Owasso, OK, Jeannie (Bill) Crowley, Tulsa, OK. He was preceded in death by his wife, Fay, parents, Bill and Jessie, brother, Dwayne, and sister, Janice. He is survived by a number of cousins, nephews, and nieces. Larry was a lifetime member of the Christian Church, having been baptized at an early age. He formerly attended the First Christian Church in Perry, where he was an Elder and participated in the S & D class. During the last 10 years, Yale Avenue Christian Church was his church home. He loved the church and was an avid Bible student. Pallbearers include Brandon Pomeroy, Brittany Stines, Matthew Pomeroy, Tyler Pomeroy, Travis Hall, Justine Elliott, Abigail Hall, Tessa Pomeroy, Miriam Hall, Mary Hall, Andrew Hall, Ashton Hall and Charlie Hall. Honorary Pallbearers include Raymond Coker, Gordon Cargill, Duane Dickson, Bob Keef and Tom Brown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The First Christian Church of Perry, Yale Avenue Christian Church, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
