Porter

Larry Edward Glenn, age 74, resident of Porter, OK, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, August 29, 2024, at St. Francis Hospital South in Tulsa, OK. He was born on September 7, 1949, in Muskogee, OK to Johnnie Edward and Lois Marie Glenn. Larry's life was a testament to his unwavering love for his family and his dedication to his community.

A proud graduate of Porter High School in 1968, Larry's early life in Porter laid the foundation for his strong work ethic. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy in 1969 until a medical discharge. His career spanned several industries, including 20 years as a Right- of-Way Engineer at GTE, an Inspector for Tulsa County, a truck driver for Green Hill Concrete, and a school bus driver for Porter Public Schools before his well-deserved retirement.

Larry's interests were as diverse as his career. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as tinkering around the house, camping, and riding horses. Above all, his family was his life, and he cherished every moment spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He married the love of his life, Shirley Ann (Morgan) Glenn, on February 14, 1969, in Coweta, OK. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and enduring memories.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Shirley Glenn, of their home in Porter, OK and his daughters, Lori Cooper and her husband Robert of Wagoner, OK, and Amy Tillotson and her husband David of Glenpool, OK. His legacy continues through his six grandchildren, Morgan Muzljakovich and her husband Paul, Kelsea Pinkerton, Kristin Chevalier and her husband Kendal, Ashton Morrissey and her husband Ty, Kali Goforth, and Jacob Tillotson and his wife Sabre, as well as his nine great-grandchildren, Kael Chevalier, Carter Muzljakovich, Khloe Chevalier, Korbyn Chevalier, Kaylee Chevalier, Kayla Chevalier, Amelia Lewis, Kora Beth Chevalier, and William Muzljakovich.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Edward and Lois Marie Glenn.
