Kenneth Aaron Snider

March 10, 1958 — April 25, 2021

Kenneth Aaron Snider, known to most as “Ken” or “Kenny”, departed this life on Sunday, April 25, 2021 in Wagoner, Oklahoma at the age of 63.  Ken was born on March 10, 1958 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Phillip A. Snider and Rosemary (Lasater) Patton.  He graduated in 1976 from Chouteau High School in Chouteau, Oklahoma.  Ken held various jobs throughout his life, but worked as a First Class Stationary Engineer for many years.  Ken was a jack of all trades and had many interests including fishing, camping, NASCAR, classic trucks and hot rods, arts and crafts, and playing the dulcimer.  He never met a stranger and to know him was to love him.  He was a proud Dad and Papa and loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.  In the later years of his life, his little dog “Petey” meant a lot to him.

Ken is survived by his daughter, Christina Woodrow and husband Shane of Coweta, Oklahoma; his son, Garon Snider and wife Erin of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his daughter, Genee Snider and fiancé Daniel Harper of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his former wife, Jacki Snider of Coweta, Oklahoma; his father, Phillip Snider and wife Pat of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two sisters, Kelli Williams of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and Karla Snider Fitzgerald and husband Kris of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his mom, Mary Whitener of Chouteau, Oklahoma; his brother, Jeff Whitener of Chouteau, Oklahoma; his sister, Shelli Sharber and husband Greg of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Isaac and Paisley, Leah, Kenneth Garon, Triston and Waylon.

Ken was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Rosemary and Gene Patton; his twin brother, Steven Floyd Snider; his dad, Garyal Whitener; his grandson, Jaxon Wayne Snider; his step-sister, Karen Roberts; and his sister-in-law, Alieca Whitener.

Services celebrating Ken’s life will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Crosspoint Baptist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma.  Ken will be laid to rest at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers are Garon Snider, Shane Woodrow, Daniel Harper, Jeff Whitener, and Bryan Carmichael.  Honorary pallbearers are Tom Sexton, Wade Hendricks, Roger Sellers, and Bill Holzworth.
