Kenneth Ray Dodson, age 63, of Wagoner departed this life on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Cleveland Baptist Village in Cleveland, Oklahoma. He was born on December 14, 1946 in Coweta, Oklahoma to Abner and Stella (Goodell) Dodson. Ken was a loving husband, son, father, brother, and grandfather to his family. He received his education in the Coweta, Oklahoma school system and graduated from Coweta High School in 1965. Ken joined the United State Army on July 19, 1967 and was honorably discharged on July 18, 1969. He and Barbara Beckham were united in marriage on January 17, 1967 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Ken worked as a sales manager at Braden Winch for 43 years until his retirement on December 31, 2008. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma and the American Legion Post 226. His hobbies included hunting, fishing being with his grandchildren and watching them play sports. Ken was preceded in death by his father and one sister. Ken is lovingly survived by his wife, Barbara of the home; one son, Kevin Dodson and his wife, Lisa, of Coweta, Oklahoma; one daughter, Holly Rhoads and her husband, Troy, of Cleveland, Oklahoma; his mother, Stella Dodson of Coweta, Oklahoma; one sister, Betty Jackson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; four grandchildren; MacKenzie Rhoads, MacKiah Rhoads, Kaylee Dodson, and Parker Dodson; four nieces; two nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Northside Christian Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with Pastor Stony Capehart officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma.
