Kathy Murphy

Kathy Gail Murphy, age 60, of Coweta, OK departed this life on Tuesday afternoon, September 15, 2009 at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, OK surrounded by her loving family members. She was born on June 16, 1949 in Coweta, OK to Floyd and Gertie (Foster) Hunter. Kathy received her education in the Coweta school system and graduated from Coweta High School in 1967. She worked as a secretary for Dr. Robert Oliver for 15 years. Her hobbies included cooking, bird watching, and she loved being with her grandchildren. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Kathy is lovingly survived by her son, Keith Murphy of Coweta, OK; her daughter, Staci Grammer and her husband, John, of Broken Arrow, OK: five grandchildren, Dustin Murphy, Hannah Murphy, Amelia Murphy, Jensen Grammer, and Carsen Grammer; one niece, one nephew, and a host of other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2009 at the Church of God of Prophecy in Coweta, OK with Pastor D. Frank Hughes officiating.
