Justin Thomas Shaw, age 29, resident of Wagoner, OK, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025, in Wagoner, OK. He was born on July 22, 1995, in Claremore, OK to Walter Thomas Shaw, Jr. and Vickie Lynn (Austin) Shaw. Justin's life was a testament to his resilience, warmth, and the joy he found in the simple pleasures of life.
Justin grew up in Coweta, OK, where he attended Coweta Public Schools. Throughout his school years, he was an avid sports enthusiast, playing football and baseball with passion and team spirit. His love for sports was only matched by his enjoyment of the great outdoors, where he often could be found fishing and hunting, riding motorcycles, or playing a round of golf.
Professionally, Justin dedicated a decade of his life as a Journeyman in Heat & Air. At the time of his passing, he was employed by ASAP Heating & Air, having previously honed his skills at Bowman Heat & Air, Superior Air Services, and Air Assurance. His work ethic and commitment to excellence earned him respect and admiration from colleagues and clients alike.
Justin's life was enriched by the love and support of his family. He is survived by his mother, Vickie Shaw of Coweta, OK; his sister, Leslie Drake of Muskogee, OK; his brothers, Buck Shaw of Wagoner, OK, Billy Shaw and wife Savannah of Coweta, OK, and BJ Moon of Tulsa, OK; his maternal grandmother, Carolyn Austin of Coweta, OK; his son's mother, Jalee Perryman; his nieces and nephews, Ethan Lance, Sydnee Lechner, Embrie Shaw, Joselin Shaw, Miranda Shaw, Gracie Shaw, and Willow Shaw; his great nephew, Denim Adams, Jr.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.
Preceding him in death were his father, Walter Thomas "Wally" Shaw, Jr.; his son, JT Shaw; his maternal grandfather, Jackie Austin; his paternal grandmother, Bonnie Jane Hoops; his paternal grandfather, Walter Thomas Shaw, Sr.; and his uncle, Jackie Austin, Jr.
Justin's story is one of genuine connection and the pursuit of happiness through simple joys. His absence will be deeply felt, but his spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him.
A visitation for Justin will be from 3:00 - 5:00 PM on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, OK. A wake service will follow at 7:00 PM on the same day at Broken Arrow Indian United Methodist Church in Broken Arrow, OK. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Broken Arrow Indian United Methodist Church in Broken Arrow, OK, with Rev. Eli McHenry officiating.
