Julia Doyle

Julia Catherine Doyle, long-time resident of Coweta, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK at the age of 86 years, 5 months and 13 days. She was a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. Julia was born on December 12, 1924 in Coweta, OK to John and Lizzie (Childers) Vest. She received her education in Eufaula, OK. Julia and Lawrence Doyle were married in January of 1945 and he later preceded her in death. In 1986, she retired from the State of Oklahoma as a caregiver for Hissom Memorial Center in Sand Springs, OK. Julia was a member of the Cedar Creek Baptist Church in Coweta and she was a volunteer grandmother at Coweta Public Schools. She enjoyed fishing, boating, bead work and crocheting. Julia is lovingly survived by 3 sons, Cecil Lee Lowe of Coweta, Charles Nichols of Colorado Springs, CO and Rocky Allen Doyle of the home; 1 daughter, Catheena Anderson of Coweta; a grandson that she raised, Lawren Doyle; 1 sister, Ethel McIntosh of New Orleans, LA; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 1 nephew; other relatives and friends. Julia was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 2 sons, Lawrence and Bobby Gene and 1 sister. Funeral services for Julia will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2011 at Wright Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Rev. David Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore, OK. Family and friends may share memories on-line at www.wrightfh.net.
