Judy Mae Goodnight, age 68, resident of Coweta, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at Hillcrest Hospital South in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on May 23, 1954, in Seminole, Oklahoma to Albert Morris and Frankie Louise (Howell) Taylor. Judy was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family.
On December 29, 1972, Judy married the love of her life, Lonnie Darrell Goodnight, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with joy and happiness. Their love for each other was evident in every aspect of their lives, and their marriage was a testament to the power of love and commitment.
Judy found joy in spending time with her family and creating lasting memories with them. She had a passion for painting, crafts, flowers, and gardening, which showcased her creative and artistic abilities. Judy also had a talent for baking and cooking, often delighting her family with delicious homemade meals and treats.
Judy is survived by her husband, Lonnie Goodnight of the home in Coweta, Oklahoma; her daughter, Melissa Gillin and husband Greg of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her sons, Steven Goodnight and wife Amanda of Wagoner, Oklahoma and Shawn Goodnight and companion Christina Smith of Okay, Oklahoma; her daughter/granddaughter that she raised, Audri Goodnight of Coweta, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Emily Vidal and husband Ryan, Michael Goodnight and wife Lahna, Mason Goodnight, Madison Goodnight, Anna Gillin, Kaylee Hargrove, Kaiden Gillin, Mackenzie Goodnight, and Mitchell Goodnight; three great-grandchildren, Olivia, Baylor, and Brooks; her sister, Linda Mead of Smithland, Iowa; her brother, David Taylor of Seminole, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Morris and Frankie Louise Taylor, her brothers, Butch Taylor and Rodney Taylor, and her sisters, Mary Anglin and Penny Berry.
A memorial service celebrating Judy's life will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, Oklahoma.
