Juanita Pearl Knight, age 66, of Porter went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday afternoon, April 18, 2017 at Post Acute Medical Specialty Hospital in Tulsa, OK. She was born on July 17, 1950 to Clyde Matthew and Nova Aretta (Gadberry) Waid in Wagoner, OK. Juanita was a 1968 graduate of McLain High School in Tulsa, OK. She was a caregiver who loved caring for people. Juanita was a member of the Coweta Church of God of Prophecy. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, farming, singing in choir at church and NSU, being outdoors and she loved animals. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents. Juanita is survived by 3 children, Justin Knight and wife, Charla of Mountain Home, AR, Amanda Bindrum and husband, Ernie of Coweta, OK and Sam Knight of Porter, OK; 2 sisters, Lawana Dorsey and husband, Bill of Edmond, OK and Brenda Johnson and husband, Ted of Broken Arrow, OK; 2 brothers, Larry Fred Waid of Collinsville, OK and Clyde J. Waid and wife, Cindy of Oologah, OK; 2 grandchildren, Autumn and Justice; her ex-husband, Jack Knight; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Viewing will be from 9 AM - 5 PM on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 6-8 PM on Friday, April 21, 2017 at the Coweta Church of God of Prophecy. Services celebrating Juanita's life will be at 10 AM on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Coweta Church of God of Prophecy in Coweta, OK with Pastor D. Frank Hughes and Pastor Larry Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, OK. Pallbearers are Sam Knight, Ernie Bindrum, Lance Johnson, Matt Johnson, Jack Knight and Billy Dorsey. Honorary Pallbearers are Clyde J. Waid, Larry Fred Waid, Ted Johnson, Mike Parsons, Bill Dorsey and Kyle Neal. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Tara Woodward Memorial Youth Camp fund at the Coweta Church of God of Prophecy.
