Joy L. Ullrich

Joy L. Ullrich, age 82, resident of Coweta, OK went to sleep and is waiting on the resurrection on Friday, June 9, 2017 at Senior Suites Healthcare in Broken Arrow, OK. Joy was born on April 12, 1935 to Henry Franklin and Lilly G. (Maple) Thomasson in Lajolla, CA. She and Clarence Henry Ullrich, Sr. were married on July 17, 1954 in Bixby, OK. Joy was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of the Church of God Seventh Day in Tulsa, OK. Joy enjoyed gardening, drawing, listening to gospel music, reading the Bible, and taking care of her grandchildren. Joy was preceded in death by her husband in 1992, her parents, her son, Charles Lorenzo Ullrich, 5 brothers, and 3 sisters. Joy is survived by 5 sons, Clarence Ullrich, Jr. and wife, Jeanie of Coweta, OK, Calvin L. Ullrich and wife, Marietta of Tahlequah, OK, Chester Ullrich of Coweta, OK, Christopher Ullrich of Coweta, OK, and Casey Ullrich and wife, Marsha of Coweta, OK; 2 sisters, Joann Baucom of Muskogee, OK and Jean Meeks of Broken Arrow, OK; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Viewing will be from 12-6 PM on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home with the family greeting friends from 4-6 PM. Services celebrating the life of Joy will be at 10 AM on Monday, June 19, 2017 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Brother Wesley Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Bud Ullrich, Jerad Ullrich, Jeremy Ullrich, Brandon Ullrich, Jason Ullrich, Dustin Ullrich, Bradley Mashburn, and Scott Ullrich.
