Josephine Ann Fraser, age 94, of Coweta passed from this life on Friday evening, December 14, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital South in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Josephine was born on February 6, 1913 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Frank and Julie (Polus) Czechanski. She received her education in Michigan. Josephine and Milton C. Fraser were united in marriage on May 18, 1936 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In 1974, she moved to the Stone Bluff area from Michigan and in 2002, she moved from Stone Bluff to the Coweta area. Josephine was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Coweta, Oklahoma. Her hobbies included crocheting, cooking, and gardening. She is survived by two sons, Daniel Fraser and Charles Fraser and his wife, Ruby, both of Coweta, Oklahoma; one daughter, Judith Green and her husband, Robert, of Santa Rosa, California; one sister, Mary Owsinski of Grand Rapids, Michgan; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one granddaughter, Suzanne Anderson. Rosary service was held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Coweta, Oklahoma. The Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Coweta, Oklahoma with Monsignor Patrick Gaalaas officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Wright Funeral Home.
