Joseph Wilber Glenn, III of Coweta passed away on Friday, June 29, 2007 in Verdigris, Oklahoma. He was 47 years old. Joseph was born on April 12, 1960 in Bethesda, Maryland to Joseph Wilber and Lorena (Havron) Glenn, II. He received his education in the Bethesda, Maryland school system and graduated from high school in 1978. On March 9, 1989, he was honorably discharged from the United States Navy. He and Michelle Tackett were united in marriage on December 27, 2000 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. They came to the Coweta area in 2000 from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Joseph worked as a truck driver for Utility Supply Company for three years. He was also a cross country truck driver. Joseph was a member of the American Veterans Motorcycle Club and he served as a Road Dog. He was also a volunteer fireman in Maryland. His hobbies included riding motorcycles and watching the Washington Redskins. Survivors include his wife, Michelle of the home; one son, Cody Taylor Glenn of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Jody Glenn of Oklahoma City and Hollie Knight of San Diego, California; one brother, Jimmy Glenn of Florida; one sister, Elizabeth Clark of Bethesda, Maryland; two grandchildren, Braden Johnson and Brianna Lopez; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2007 at the First Assembly of God Church in Coweta with Pastor Gary Rogers officiating. Committal with full military honors will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Wright Funeral Home in Coweta. Family and friends may view the obituary and send condolences to the family online at www.wrightfh.net. Pallbearers were Sparky, Sharp Shooter, Red Bull, Cowboy, Shorty, and Black Dog.
