John Gray

John F. Gray, age 92, of Coweta, OK passed away Sunday evening, March 3, 2013 at his home in Coweta, OK. John was born on September 14, 1920 in Bates County, MO and was the son of Hugh and Irene (Clark) Gray. John and Lois Carmichael were united in marriage on October 21, 1950 in Bentonville, AR. John worked as a painter for over 50 years until he retired. John was a member of the First Baptist Church in Coweta. He was also a member of the International Union of Painters. John enjoyed camping, fishing, woodworking, watching old westerns, traveling and he loved spending time with his family. John is lovingly survived by his wife of 62 years, Lois Gray of the home; his daughters, Judith Jones of Springfield, MO and Deon Bryant of Lee's Summit, MO; his son, Bryan Gray of Rhododendron, OR; 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. John was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister, two sons and one granddaughter. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, March 8, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta, OK with Rev. David Jones and Tony Holmes officiating. Interment will be at 3:00 PM at Mound Cemetery in Galena, KS. Pallbearers are John Allen Bryant, Mark Andrew Bryant, Keith Wayne Upham, James Michael Gray, Andrew Farrel Gray, Ethan Trevor Gray and Timothy Lee Smith. The family of John F.
