John Ray Gafford

John Ray Gafford, age 68 passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on April 26, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan, to parents Junior Ray Gafford and Lois Edna (Meyer) Gafford.

After three decades of committed service, John retired in 2004, from Ford Motor Company. Outside of work, John loved to cheer on for his favorite sports teams from Detroit, the Tigers, and the Lions. He enjoyed watching OU Sooner Football. He appreciated getting outdoors and spending time hunting.

John was a beloved father to his children Bridget Hazimeh, and her husband Adel, Devin Gafford, Laura Gafford, and Michael Gafford. Along with them he is survived by his brother Joseph Gafford and his adored grandchildren Dahlia, Melaina, Kaleb Hazimeh, Kamron, and Emory Ogden. He was preceded in death by his loving partner Linda Gafford, his parents, Junior and Lois Gafford, and sister Diane Burns.

John will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who were close to him.
