John Clayton

John Wesley Clayton II, age 44, of Coweta passed from this life on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at his home. John was born on October 4, 1963 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to John Wesley and Sandra (Gary) Clayton, Sr. He received his education in the Broken Arrow school system. He also attended Tulsa Community College for two years. John and Mary Nixon were married in 1995. They later divorced. John worked as a draftsman at Hanover Company for one year. He attended the Broken Arrow Church of Christ. His hobbies included playing the guitar and computers. He also loved animals. Survivors include one son, Trey Clayton of Corpus Christie, Texas; one daughter, Briana Clayton of Corpus Christie, Texas; his parents, John and Sandra Clayton of Coweta, Oklahoma; four sisters, Johna Clayton, Cortni Gilstrap, Darbi Hines, and Timmeni Harrison all of Coweta, Oklahoma; his maternal grandmother, Wanda Gary of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at Wright Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta with Tommie Gary officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Wright Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Alex Houston, Rodney Houston, Michael Cashon, Mike Harrison, Tyler Harrison, and Ben Hines.
