John Wesley Call, Jr.

John Wesley Call, Jr., age 64, longtime resident of Wagoner passed away on Tuesday evening, September 1, 2015 at his home in Wagoner, OK. John was born on February 18, 1951 to John W. and Alta L. (Ledbetter) Call in Webb City, MO. He was a 1969 graduate of Wagoner High School. John was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Vietnam War. He enlisted in the Army in 1969 and was honorably discharged in 1971. John and Linda (Hahn) Call were married and have spent 43 happy years together. He worked as a self-employed Construction Contractor for many years and he also worked for St. John Health System as a Maintenance Supervisor for 6 years until he retired in 2011. John enjoyed fishing, crocheting, baking, soccer, shopping, camping, riding his trike motorcycle and traveling to Branson with his wife. He loved visiting with people and he never met a stranger. John was preceded in death by his parents, John W. and Alta L. Call. John is lovingly survived by his wife, Linda Call of the home in Wagoner, OK; 3 daughters, Richelle Galyen and husband, Sammy, of Wagoner, OK, Cristi Smith and husband, Barry, of Bixby, OK and Buffy Call of Sapulpa, OK; 1 brother, Bobby Joe Call and wife, Cindy, of Wagoner, OK; 1 sister, Donna Brunson and husband, Kenneth, of Wagoner, OK; 6 grandchildren; Remington Galyen, Sydney Smith, Ava Smith and Walker Smith; 1 brother-in-law, Kelly Skelton and wife, Theresa; 3 sisters-in-law, Joey Jones and husband, Ed, Penny Janko and husband, Curtis and Terri Hollowell and husband, Gary; 1 niece, Regina Hammons and husband, Michael; 4 nephews, David Brunson and wife, Miranda, Wayne Brunson and wife, Amy, B.J. Call and Wesley Call and wife, Samantha; a lifelong friend, Richard Sallee; and numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Viewing will be from 12 PM - 8 PM on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home. A graveside service celebrating John's life will be at 11 AM on Friday, September 4, 2015 at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, OK with Chaplain Marvin Luckie officiating.
