John Dale Bentley

John Dale Bentley, age 72, resident of Coweta passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. John Dale was born on January 17, 1946 in Tulsa, OK to Odie L. Bentley and Zella Irene (McCaslin) Londagin. He was a 1964 graduate of Coweta High School. John Dale worked as a machinist at Auto Turn Manufacturing, Inc. in Broken Arrow for many years until he retired in 2012. He enjoyed doing yard work, programming computers and spending time with his granddaughter, Synthea. John Dale was very smart and even built a computer. He loved his family and enjoyed being around people. John Dale is survived by 1 daughter, Rebecca Bentley and husband, Leroy Doss of Sullivan, IL; 1 sister, Glenda Smith of Tecumseh, OK; 1 granddaughter, Synthea Doss of Sullivan, IL; 5 nieces and nephews, Chad Smith of Lafayette, LA, Allissa Smith of Tecumseh, OK, Robyn Taylor of Tulsa, OK, Kristen Dressler of Tulsa, OK and Shane Bentley; 8 great nieces and nephews, Alexandria Smith, Annabel Smith, Christian Taylor, Caleb Taylor, James Smith, Daniel Smith, Rebecca Smith & Isaac Price; his best friend, Jordan Edens; 2 step-children, Clayton Doss and Danielle Doss; close confidant, Helen Nye & Jerry Canton; and numerous other relatives and friends. John Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Odie L. Bentley and Zella Irene Londagin, 2 brothers, Jerry Wayne Bentley & David Edward Bentley and 1 sister, Ruby Fern Bentley. Graveside services celebrating the life of John Dale will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK with Rev. Brody Morris officiating.
