John Raymond Anderson

John Raymond Anderson, age 83, of Coweta, OK passed away Sunday evening, September 14, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK. He was born on March 19, 1931 in Farlington, KS to John Theodore and Zelma Ida (Phillipe) Anderson. John was a proud veteran of the United States Coast Guard, serving from 1950 to 1953. He was united in marriage to Margaret Anderson on August 27, 1952 and she preceded him in death in 2002. He then married Schrie C. Anderson on December 14, 2004 in Eureka Springs, AR. John worked at the Federal Fish & Wildlife Service as a Fish Biologist for 38 years and at the Coweta Police Department as a Dispatcher for 7 years. John was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Margaret Anderson and his parents. John is survived by his wife, Schrie Anderson of Coweta, OK; 1 daughter, Marla J. Martin and husband, Leon, of Tahlequah, OK; 1 brother, Nelson Anderson of Girard, KS; 1 granddaughter, Chelsea Copeland; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. John is also survived by Schrie's 4 children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Graveside services for John will be at 1 PM on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Farlington Cemetery in Farlington, KS.
