Joe Allen Hensinger

March 31, 1956 — December 26, 2023

Mannford

With a spirit as free as the open road and a heart as wide as the outdoors he cherished, Joe Allen Hensinger lived a life rich with adventure and love. He was born in Bellevue, Ohio, on March 31, 1956, and faded from this world on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at his home in Mannford, Oklahoma, leaving a legacy of joy and unwavering bonds.

Joe was a man of many talents and interests. His craftsmanship in welding was not just his profession but a testament to his skillful hands. His service in the Army starting in 1975 reflected his deep sense of patriotism. Yet beyond work and service, Joe was a true cowboy at heart who appreciated Horseback riding, and has enthusiasm for being outdoors, riding his motorcycle, fishing, and going to the lake.

Those who knew Joe, knew a man fully immersed in the pleasures of life—someone who could find the joy in the simplest things. His love of the outdoors was eclipsed only by the love he held for his family. Parents Thomas Kent Hensinger, and Joanne Elizabeth (Meyers) Hamblin who preceded him in death along with brother Thomas Earl Hensinger. Survivors include his brother Billy Hensinger; sisters Teri King and husband Rob, Linda Scoggins, and Marilyn Hensinger; sons Matthew Hensinger and Marcus Hensinger; and grandson Logan Hensinger.

His memory will be cherished by his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, who looked up to him as a beacon of life's boundless possibilities.

Joe Allen Hensinger's tale is one of a life not just lived but embraced fully. A life, adventurous and authentic, that will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of sharing in his remarkable journey.

Joe will be laid to rest at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma at 12:30 PM on Friday, January 5,2024, with Military Honors, surrounded by his family.
