Joanne Bruce

JoAnne Bruce, age 88, of Broken Arrow went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 29, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital South in Tulsa, OK. JoAnne was born on September 22, 1929 to Lester Vivian and Dorothy Grace (Bogue) Mulvany in Champaign, IL. She was a 1947 graduate of Champaign Central High School in Champaign, IL. After graduating, JoAnne attended business school. She worked in sales most of her life retiring in 1999 as a Produce Manager at a Grocery Store in Champaign, IL. JoAnne was a faithful and active member of Northside Free Will Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, where she enjoyed volunteering her time. She enjoyed watching OU football, collecting penguins, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents, Lester Vivian and Dorothy Grace Mulvany. JoAnne is survived by 3 children, Leann Lehmann and husband, George of Broken Arrow, OK, Lester "Butch" Baker and wife, Cindy of Chebanse, IL and Phyllis Fields and husband, Ronnie of Tekonsha, MI; 1 sister, Shirley Field and husband, Gerry of Champaign, IL; 8 grandchildren, Johnny Lehmann, Todd Lehmann, Traci Lynch, Shawn Boyd, Ronnie Fields, Marcus Baker, Jason Baker and Megan (Baker) Voegele; and numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Viewing will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home. Services celebrating JoAnne's life will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Northside Free Will Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, OK with Rev. Robert Hardgrove officiating.
