Jo Ann Hartley, age 75, resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma (formerly of Coweta, Oklahoma) departed from this life on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Hillcrest Hospital South in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jo Ann was born on December 19, 1946 in Ione, California and was the daughter of Billie and Hazel (Pennington) Fields. She attended Coweta Public Schools. Jo Ann married Melvin Hartley on September 27, 1986 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, shopping, gardening, and arts and crafts.
Jo Ann is survived by her five children, Bruce Fields and his wife June of Vidor, Texas, Keith Roy Kulp of Claremore, Oklahoma, Sherrie Kulp Guthrie of Afton, Oklahoma, Andrea Raym and her husband Gerald of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Mitchell McClain and his wife Elizabeth of Coweta, Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; six siblings, Delores Vance of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Lee Medlock of Catoosa, Oklahoma, Wanda Boston and her husband Bill of Los City, Oklahoma, Jackie Buck, Gary Fields of Haskell, Oklahoma, and David Fields of Coweta, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Billie and Hazel Fields, her husband, Melvin Hartley, and four siblings, Carl Fields, Barbara Hilton, Billy Fields, and Connie Fields.
A memorial service celebrating Jo Ann’s life will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 11, 2022 in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, Oklahoma.
