Jimmy Joellyn Mason

Jimmy Joellyn Mason, age 76, resident of Coweta entered into the Gates of Heaven on Monday evening, December 12, 2022 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma surrounded by her family.  Jimmy was born on November 12, 1946 in Muskogee, Oklahoma and was the daughter of Lottie L. Jones and Edward P. Brennan.  Jimmy was a 1965 graduate of Will Rogers High School in Tulsa.  She was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force.  She enlisted in the Air Force on November 4, 1965 and was honorably discharged on January 16, 1967.  Jimmy married the love of her life, Wayne S. Mason on November 20, 1966 at Hamilton Air Force Base in California.  She was a devoted homemaker who loved caring for her family.  She enjoyed knitting, sewing, quilting, cooking, fishing, traveling, and she loved spending time with her family.

Jimmy is survived by her husband of 56 years, Wayne S. Mason of the home in Coweta, Oklahoma; her daughters, Kimberly K. Jones of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Jennifer L. Dobbins and husband Franklin of Coweta, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Emily Jones of Orlando, Florida, Tyler Jones of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Zackary Dobbins and wife Samantha of Coweta, Oklahoma, Dillon Dobbins of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Julia Dobbins of Tulsa, Oklahoma; five great grandchildren, Brentley Jones, Logan Jones, Landyn Jones, Izzabella Jones, and Franklin T. Dobbins; her sisters, Norma Raye Blackmon and husband Willy of Clarksville, Arkansas and Beverly Mayes and husband Bill of Duncan, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Jimmy was preceded in death by her mother, Lottie L. Jones, her father, Edward P. Brennan, her brother, Stanley Keith Jones, and her great grandson, Lane Jones.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Jimmy’s life from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home in Coweta, Oklahoma.
