Services celebrating the life of Jimmy Lee Arnold will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Coweta Assembly of God in Coweta, OK with Pastor Steve Lee officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK. Jimmy Lee Arnold, age 76, longtime Coweta resident went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 28, 2018 at his home in Coweta, OK. Jimmy was born on March 10, 1942 in Alsuma, OK to Hoy Walter and Lucy Frances (Black) Arnold. He received his education at Haskell Schools. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army National Guard serving from 1960 to 1967. Jimmy married the love of his life, Nellie Mae (Kilgore) Arnold on October 10, 1963 in Joplin, MO. He worked as a molder for many years until he retired. After retiring, Jimmy began farming. He was also an ordained minister. Jimmy was a member of Coweta Assembly of God since 1999, where he enjoyed volunteering with the Bridge Builders, King's Kitchen, Right Direction and he loved being a door greeter. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on cars, gardening and spending time with his family. Jimmy is survived by 1 son, Timothy Arnold and wife, Donna of Tahlequah, OK; 6 grandchildren, Tandra Moss of Coweta, OK, Justin Arnold of Coweta, OK, Brittany Arnold of Haskell, OK, Maggie Mills of Broken Arrow, OK, Hanna Arnold of Oklahoma City, OK and Daylynn Arnold of Oklahoma City, OK; 2 great grandchildren, Gracie and Garret Arnold; 1 sister, June Henderson of Wagoner, OK; 1 brother, Willis Arnold and wife, Wanda of Coweta, OK; 1 son-in-law, Rodney Mills of Broken Arrow, OK; his companion, Eunice Jordan of Coweta, OK; and numerous other relatives and friends. Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Mae Arnold in 2013; his parents, Hoy Walter and Lucy Frances Arnold; his daughter, Tonya Lynn Mills; 2 brothers, JC Arnold and Clayton Arnold; 4 sisters, Mavis Sanders, Leona Clayton, Ellen Shanks and Noma Arnold.
