Jesse Monroe Wolfe, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born in Theodosia, Missouri, on August 21, 1938. Jesse's life journey of 85 years was marked by an unwavering commitment to his family and a zest for life.
Jesse shared his life with his beloved wife, Martha Jane "Janie" Holmes Wolfe. After they united in marriage on June 14, 1958, in Coweta, Oklahoma, they built a loving home in Broken Arrow, OK, and raised a family grounded in love, resilience, and joy.
Jesse's professional life was as a skilled machinist. He took immense pride in his career, working diligently at Blissit Manufactures, Air Cooler Exchangers, and Arrow Tool & Gage. His hard work and dedication to the craft allowed him to provide for his family until his well-deserved retirement in 1998.
A man with an enduring love for the great outdoors, Jesse found solace in the simplicity of fishing, the thrill of hunting, the serenity of camping, and the sounds of bluegrass music. These passions not only brought him peace and contentment but also created unforgettable memories with his family who shared in these activities.
Jesse's legacy is carried on by a large and loving family. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 65 years, Janie Wolfe; his son, Tony Wolfe and wife Elina; his daughter-in-law, Kim Wolfe; four grandchildren, Cody Wayne Wolfe (Ashley), Clayton Thomas Wolfe (Bonnie), Shae Lynn Wilkerson (Rocky), and Bailee Marie Lowrey (Christian); nine great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Wolfe, Ryleigh Wolfe, Cody Wolfe Jr., Chloe Wilkerson, Zoe Wilkerson, Quinton Lowrey, Emmit Lowrey, Grayson Wolfe, and Kinsley Wolfe; three sisters, Bonnie Hagewood (Jim), Betty Wolfe, and Debbie Falcon; one brother, Bud Wolfe (Karen); his sister-in-law, Jean Wolfe; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends who will miss his presence deeply.
His departure was preceded by his loving parents, Albert M. and Thelma Lucille Wolfe; his son, Timmy Wolfe; his brother, Howard Wolfe; and his sister, Joyce Sisney. These close family ties reflect the tightly knit fabric of love and support that encompassed Jesse's life.
His memory will live on in the hearts and minds of all who had the pleasure of knowing him, and his spirit will continue to inspire those he has left behind.
