Jesse Cutbirth

Jesse Eugene Cutbirth of Porter departed this life on Monday evening, December 29, 2008 at SouthCrest Hospital in Tulsa, OK at the age of 70 years. He was born on August 24, 1938 in Broken Arrow, OK to Claud and Hazel (Hash) Cutbirth. Jesse was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and a friend to many. He and JoAnn Scott were united in marriage on June 26, 1958 in Poteau, OK. In 1988, he and JoAnn moved from Phoenix, AZ to Porter, OK, where they have made their home for the past 20 years. Jesse worked as a self-employed heavy equipment operator for 25 years. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, golfing, playing horseshoes, and gardening. Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter, 4 sons, 1 brother, and 2 sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, JoAnn of the home; 3 sons, Rick Cutbirth of Evanston, WY, Daniel Cutbirth of Porter, OK, and Randy Cutbirth of Wagoner, OK; 1 daughter, Rhonda Cutbirth of Porter, OK; 2 brothers, Allen Cutbirth of Surprise, AZ and Don Cutbirth of Ft. Gibson, OK; 1 sister, Carol Green of Coweta, OK; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Clarksville Free Will Baptist Church in Porter with Rev. Charles Smith officiating. Committal prayers and burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Porter. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Wright Funeral Home, Coweta.
