Jerry Mashburn

Jerry Dave Mashburn, age 73, of Wagoner, OK (formerly of Coweta, OK) passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, June 5, 2013 at his home in Wagoner, OK. Jerry was born on November 30, 1939 in Muskogee, OK and was the son of Henry and Jimmie (Robirds) Mashburn. Jerry owned Mashburn Tree Service for 30 years. He also worked as Coweta Chief of Police, Wagoner County Deputy Sheriff and the Broken Arrow Animal Shelter retiring in 2005. Jerry and Agnes Jacob were united in marriage on January 8, 1999 in Eureka Springs, AR. Jerry enjoyed fishing, gardening, farming and he loved spending time with his grandkids. Jerry will be missed as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. Jerry is survived by his wife, Agnes Mashburn of the home; his 4 children, Barbara Ward of Ventura, CA, Dale Mashburn and wife, Cindy, of Claremore, OK, Carolyn Dorighi and husband, Mike, of Merced, CA and Darren Mashburn and wife, Rebecca, of Broken Arrow, OK; his step-daughter, Lori Sweeney of Wagoner, OK; 2 sisters, Frances Main of Springdale, AR and Ludean Prim and husband, Tom, of Springdale, AR; 2 brothers, James Mashburn of Porter, OK and Ed Mashburn of Porter, OK; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Jimmie Mashburn, 2 brothers, H.N. Mashburn and George Mashburn and 2 sisters, Patricia Davis and Ama Lou Main. Funeral services for Jerry are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, June 7, 2013 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Rev. Bob Main officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Pallbearers are Tony Davis, Brad Hartsfield, Tommy Sweeney, Jerrod Shipman, Josh Rodrigues and Myles Jenkins. The family of Jerry D.
