Jerldine Learline Parnell

December 12, 2012 Jerldine Learline McCalip Parnell passed from this life on December 8, 2012 in Collinsville, OK at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 22 days. She was born on April 16, 1935 in Norman, OK to Homer and Ollie (Ward) McCalip. On September 29, 1951, Jerldine married Reverend Roy Parnell in Oklahoma City, OK. Both Roy and Jerldine spent their lives as missionaries and evangelists, spreading the word of Jesus Christ. They were both members of the Pentecostal Church of God. In her spare time, Jerldine enjoyed sewing, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Ollie McCalip; son, Darroll Gene Parnell; granddaughter, Alisha Biggs; brothers, LeRoy McCalip and Kenneth McCalip; and sister, Ruby Mize. Jerldine is survived by her loving husband, Reverend Roy Parnell; son, Reverend Carroll Parnell and wife Evelyn Parnell of Collinsville; daughter, LaVon Abitbol and husband Patrick Abitbol; daughter, Tammy Metz and husband Reverend David Metz; daughter, Sharie Biggs and husband Joseph Biggs of all of Claremore; 8 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; siblings, James McCalip and wife Faye of Tecumseh, Floyd McCalip and wife Janice of Oklahoma City, Leota Powers of Purcell, Lovie Drain of Lexington and Patsy Mize of Norman; and numerous other family members, friends and church family. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 and a Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Faith Fellowship Church in Collinsville with Reverend Roy Parnell, Reverend David Metz and Reverend Wesley Jones officiating.
