Jean O. Meeks, age 86, resident of Broken Arrow went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday morning, November 13, 2020 at Broken Arrow Nursing Home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.  Jean was born on November 27, 1933 in Encinitas, California and was the daughter of Henry Franklin and Lily Gertrude (Maple) Thomasson.

Jean married the love of her life, Ralph Meeks on January 3, 1955 in Coweta, Oklahoma.  She was also a devoted homemaker who loved caring for her family and was also a nurse aid.  Jean enjoyed crocheting, quilting, gardening, working in her flower beds, raising chickens, and going to garage sales.  She also loved traveling to different places, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Jean is survived by her six daughters, Frankie Dale Smith and husband Mike of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Teresa Gail Baujan and husband Mike of Coweta, Oklahoma, Pearl Annette Wilson of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Shelley Jane Jones and husband Jimmie of Claremore, Oklahoma, Glea Jean Alkhatib of Claremore, Oklahoma, and Joylea Alice Meeks of Talihina, Oklahoma: one sister, JoAnn Baucom of Muskogee, Oklahoma; 17 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Meeks; her parents, Henry and Lily Thomasson; her son, Ralph Eugene Meeks; four sisters; five brothers; one grandson, Andy Meeks: and one granddaughter, Pam Baujan.

A private family service will be held for Jean.  She will be laid to rest at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
