J.C. "Jr." Denton, age 66, resident of Coweta, OK passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. Jr. was born on July 9, 1948 to J.C. Denton, Sr. and Verna Grace (Fanning) Denton. He was a graduate of Coweta High School. Jr. was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1969 to 1971. He loved farming and spending time with his grandchildren. Jr. was preceded in death by his parents. Jr. is survived by his wife, Deloris Denton of the home in Coweta, OK; 3 sons, Josh Denton, Wesley Denton and Zach Denton; 1 brother, Larry Denton and wife, Glenda, of Coweta, OK; the local grandchildren are, Rhilee, Collin and Zaidyn; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Viewing will be from 12 pm - 6 pm on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the funeral home. Funeral services celebrating the life of Jr.'s life will be at 10 am on Monday, January 12, 2015 at the Coweta Assembly of God in Coweta, OK with Pastor Steve Lee officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK. Pallbearers are Brandon Cole, Charles Snelson, Daniel Fultz, Kenneth Ridley, Dustin Allen and CA Jones.
