Janice Price

Janice (Hall) Price, 73, of Owasso, OK passed away peacefully Thursday, September 12, 2013 after a 22 year battle with cancer and its complications with family by her side. Janice was born in Coweta, OK on September 22, 1939, the sixth of ten children. She was raised in Coweta and married Jack Price there in January 1958. They were married 55 years and had three children. Janice was a full-time homemaker until 1984 when she and Jack became managers for La Quinta Inns and Suites. With her interest in people and even disposition she was well-suited to this career, and worked with La Quinta until her retirement in 2001. Janice was an avid reader, a member of several women's bowling leagues throughout her life, enjoyed traveling with her husband, attending OSU football games, and pampering her dogs. She was a loving mother who considered her children to be her life's work. Janice is survived by her husband Jack Price of the home; daughters, Tara Awezec & John of Broomfield, CO & Jana Adams & John of Kirkwood, MO; son, Scott Price & Toni of Pearland, TX; four grandchildren, Sean Adams, Kathryn Price, Jessica Price & Maria Denise Price; six sisters, Joyce Potter of Coweta, OK, Wanda Hall of Tulsa, OK, Shirley Denton of Coweta, OK, Beverly Steeley of Hulbert, OK, Paula Fitzpatrick of Ft. Smith, AR & Jeanie Crowley of Houston, TX; two brothers, Larry Hall & Faye of Jenks, OK & Drushel Hall & Trish of Coweta, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews & other relatives. Janice was preceded in death by her parents, William "Bill" & Jessie (Hoffman) Hall & a brother, Dwayne Hall. Janice lived her life well and was well loved. Funeral services for Janice are scheduled for 10:00 am Monday, September 16, 2013 at the First Baptist Church, 15296 State Hwy. 72, Coweta, OK 74429. Rev. David Jones will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK. Pallbearers are Ed Greene, Ray Jackson, Lynn Price, RC Steeley, Bruce Torbett & Greg Wylie.
