Janette Rachele Austin, age 43, entered into the Gates of Heaven on Tuesday morning, September 19, 2023. Janette was born on December 5, 1979, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK and spent most of her life in and around Coweta. She did have short stays in Illinois and Texas, but Coweta was home. She attended Coweta Public Schools and graduated from Coweta High School in 1998.
Janette did have quite a few defining moments, to many to list here, but there was a couple of unique moments. When meeting a new man, she would introduce herself and then ask if they had a girlfriend, if the answer was no, she would simply state "I'll be your girlfriend". When "goofing around" her favorite name to call someone was "you silly old Goose-Duck". She did have her own "language" with words and meanings coming from various TV shows like "Little House and Prairie", Looney Tunes and various other shows. You would just have to break the code.
She had a great love for family especially for her grandpa "PaPa" Jimmy and Aunt Aurelia since they shared the same birthday. Janette also loved taking "field trips" (vacations) with family members. She passed away at home with her family present. Her long battle with epilepsy and short battle with cancer (Melanoma) has come to an end and now she is finally at peace.
She is survived by her mother, Joy V. Austin-Pickett, her sister, Pamela Terry, her brother, "Donny" Donald Austin II, her nephews, Tyler, Jacob, and Draco, her grandfather, Jimmy Denton, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and her "adopted" brother and sister, Wesley and Brittany along with their two children, Iceley and Maeley, and stepfather "Daddy" Brian Pickett.
