James Lowell Walters, age 57, of Wagoner passed from this life on Monday, December 17, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. James was born on August 16, 1950 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Virgil Walters, Jr. and Janies (Ricketts) Walters. He received his education in the Yukon school system. James and Diane Lee were united in marriage on March 31, 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada. James was a Sergeant Major in the Marine Corps for 25 years until his retirement. He also worked as a truck driver for 10 years. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, and he loved the outdoors. Survivors include his wife, Diane of the home; one son, Jeff; three daughters, Regina, Talina, and Stephanie; his mother, Janies Nichols of Muskogee; three brothers, Rodney Walters and Terry Walters both of Okay, Oklahoma and Tony Nichols of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; one sister, Dana Adams of Muskogee, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. A memorial service was held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 21, 2007 at Wright Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Gene Fitzgerald officiating.
