James Robert Sawyer

James Robert "BJ" Sawyer, age 48, of Coweta passed away Friday evening, October 19, 2012 after a tragic accident in Rogers County, OK. BJ was born on February 15, 1964 in Tulsa, OK and was the son of James Samuel and Dorothy Jean (Miller) Sawyer. BJ was a 1982 graduate of Coweta High School. BJ worked at Sun Manufacturing as a machine operator for the past 8 years. BJ was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church in Coweta. He enjoyed golfing and fishing. BJ is lovingly survived by his mother, Dorothy Sawyer of Coweta; his three sisters, Ann Rogers of Coweta, Becky Walker of Coweta and Kay Meadows of Coweta; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. BJ was preceded in death by his father, James S. Sawyer. The family will greet friends at funeral home on Wednesday evening, October 24, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Cedar Creek Baptist Church, 208 N. Water Street, Coweta, OK 74429. Pastor Bert Robison will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery. Pallbearers are Richard Thomas, John Rogers, Corey Miller, Brandon Walker, Casey Walker and J.D. Meadows.
