James Russell

James Stanley Russell, Sr., age 49, of Coweta departed this life on Friday afternoon, November 7, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital South in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on May 6, 1959 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Charles T. and Helen Mae (Cowan) Russell. James graduated from Coweta High School in 1977. He then attended Spartan School of Aeronautics. He worked as a mechanic at American Airlines for five years. James was a member of the Oklahoma Sky Diving Association. His hobbies included sky diving, riding motorcycles, listening to music, and playing pool. James was preceded in death by his brother, John and 1 grandson, Cameron. He is survived by 3 sons, James Russell, Jr. and his wife, Kendra, Josh Russell and his wife, Jessica, and Derek Allen Russell, all of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; 2 daughters, Lindsey Russell and Danielle Higgins, both of Coweta, Oklahoma; his parents, Charles and Helen Russell of Coweta, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren; and his fiancé, Jayne Wiggs of Coweta, Oklahoma. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Abundant Rain Ministries in Coweta, Oklahoma with Rev. Ron Spradlin officiating.
