James Travis Eischen, age 60, of Coweta passed away Monday morning, October 10, 2011 at his home in Coweta, OK surrounded by his family members. He was born on March 10, 1951 in Oklahoma City, OK and was the son of Woodrow B. and Mildred Nadine (Marsee) Eischen. James was a graduate of Washington High School in Washington, OK. After graduating high school, he attended Murray State College and Oklahoma State University where he received his Bachelor's Degree. James and Shelia Deason were married on June 3, 1972 in Washington, OK. He worked for Tulsa Heaters Inc. and was manager of Technical Services. In 2003, James and Shelia moved to the Coweta area from Tulsa, OK. James is also a member of the Oklahoma State University Alumni, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the National Welding Association. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, cooking, reading, traveling and he enjoyed watching college sports. James is lovingly survived by his wife of 39 years, Shelia Eischen of the home; his mother, Nadine Eischen of Coweta; his three children, Jennifer Gehri and her husband, John, of Broken Arrow, Ben Eischen and his wife, Ashlea, of Coweta and Chris Eischen and his wife, Shanna, of Tulsa; his sister, Sharon Housley and her husband, Gary, of Pryor; his brother, Louis Eischen and his wife, Sharon, of Oklahoma City; 10 grandchildren, Daniel Foster, Dylan Gehri, Daylena Shatto, Leo Gehri, Luke Gehri, Troy Foster, Colin Foster, Avery Peterson, Emersyn Eischen and Avaleigh Eischen; 2 great grandchildren, Bailey Gehri and Kohl Vance; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. James was preceded in death by his father, Woodrow B. Eischen. Funeral services for James will be at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2011 at the Church of God of Prophecy, 123 W. Sycamore, Coweta, OK 74429. Pastor Larry Duncan will officiate the service. A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Washington Cemetery in Washington, OK. Pallbearers are Ben Eischen, Chris Eischen, John Gehri, Daniel Foster, Colin Foster and Troy Foster. Honorary Pallbearers are Luke Gehri, Leo Gehri, Dylan Gehri, Zack Vance, Allen Deason and Louis Eischen.
