Sunshine Lady!

Jacqueline Marietta Willis-Hawkins was born on January 2, 1947, in Coweta, Oklahoma to Willie Willis and Grace Beal. Jacqueline was the third of six children.

She attended Coweta High School. During her teenage years Jacqueline met and married Roosevelt (Hawk) Hawkins Jr. and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma with her three children LaShonda "Shawee" Hawkins, McNeil Hawkins and Tyrone Hawkins. While in Tulsa she was employed for 20 plus years with Tulsa public schools district and retired at an early age. She later met Robert McKinney and moved back to Coweta to her forever home.

During her retirement they took on a fun adventure with a barbecue stand that is still remembered today as one of the best near The Golf Club of Oklahoma.

Jacqueline was famous for her beef stroganoff, buttermilk pie and peach cobbler. She loved to cook and bake desserts. She loved spending time with family at the cookouts. Jacqueline had a personality that was infectious and loved to have fun.

She also loved her music! Especially Al Green. When she was at any event and the music came on, she would be singing and dancing. She was known for telling you the truth and encouraged everyone to live up to your full potential.

She lived life on her terms and passed away on January 26th at home surrounded by her children and loved ones. One of her famous sayings was LATER (instead of goodbye) and I LOVE YOU!
