March 21, 2013 Jack LeRoy Spurgeon, Sr. of Owasso, 83, entered eternal life March 20, 2013 at his home. He was born September 21, 1929 in Mounds to Mabel Alice (Griffen) and William Matt Spurgeon, Sr. Jack served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He married Jessie Evelyn (Cardin) June 12, 1953 in Barnsdall. Jack was a longtime pastor and member of Calvary Baptist Church in Broken Arrow. He enjoyed fishing, collecting pocket knives, St. Louis Cardinal baseball and O.U. Sooner football. Jack is survived by his loving wife Evelyn of the home; sons: Jack LeRoy Spurgeon, Jr. and his wife Debbie of Grove, and John Paul Spurgeon of Catoosa; grandchildren:
Jeanette Wimberley and her husband Mike, Eric Spurgeon, Melissa Overton and her husband Josiah, Courtney Salinas and her husband Mario, and Lacey Spurgeon; 6 great-
