Irene Faught-Ketchum

Irene Faught-Ketchum of Coweta, age 88, a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away Tuesday morning, September 20, 2011 in Tulsa, OK. She was born on March 6, 1923 in Wagoner, OK and was the daughter of Frank F. and Bonnie (Webster) Baker. Irene was a graduate of Wagoner High School and then she went on to attend Emmanuel Bible College in Franklin Springs, GA for three years. Irene and Wesley Faught were united in marriage on May 12, 1944 in Wagoner, OK and he preceded her in death on April 29, 1989. In the later years of her life, she was blessed with the marriages of Jack Carter and Rev. Bill Ketchum. Irene was a homemaker and seamstress for most of her life. Irene was a longtime and active member of Shahan Free Will Baptist Church in Coweta, OK where she participated in Bible study. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing, cooking and she loved spending time with her friends and family. Irene is lovingly survived by her daughter, Donna Nimerick and her husband, Jim, of Broken Arrow; her brother, W.H. Baker of Del Rio, TX; three step-daughters; one granddaughter, Jaime Askew; two great grandchildren, Corban and Keira; step-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, all three of her husbands, her son, Frank E. Faught, one sister and two brothers. The family will be present at a visitation on Thursday evening, September 22, 2011 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services for Irene will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 23, 2011 at Shahan Free Will Baptist Church in Coweta, OK with Rev. Bill Walker and Rev. Lynn Moss officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Pallbearers are Wayne Morris, Keith Morris, Jim Baker, Gary Garoutte, Dwain Denton and Dewayne Harp. Honorary Pallbearers are Bob Kelley, Harley Waldrup, Jim Robinson, Bob Peterson, Roy Harper and Kent Shieldnight. The family of Irene Faught-Ketchum entrusted her care and services to Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home, 210 S. Broadway, Coweta, OK 74429, 918-486-5515.
