Hyla G. Smith-Davidson

Hyla G. Smith-Davidson, age 77, of Coweta, OK passed away on Wednesday evening, February 26, 2014 in Muskogee, OK. She was born on July 26, 1936 in Stigler, OK and was the daughter of Edward Elais and Vina (Loudermilk) Jones. Hyla married Gene Lee Smith on April 14, 1954 and he preceded her in death on January 27, 1997. She then married William W. "Bo" Davidson on January 2, 1998 in Ft. Smith, AR and he preceded her in death on October 5, 2013. Hyla was a rancher for most of her life. She enjoyed oil painting, genealogy, gardening, traveling and spending time outdoors. Hyla is survived by 4 children, Clifford Smith & wife, Kathy, of Muskogee, OK, Randy Smith & wife, Cathy, of Wilburton, OK, Cathy Daniels & husband, Ralph, of Napavine, WA and Mike Davidson & wife, Mom, of Tulsa, OK; 12 grandchildren, Desiree Kidwell, Raylee Babb, Heather Wilson, Shelly Brewer, Kristy Smith, Weldon Brewer, Summer Watkins, Brandy Bullard, Randy Gene Smith, Jason Doyle Smith, Troy Davidson and Niko Davidson; 26 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Hyla was preceded in death by 2 husbands, Gene Lee Smith and William W. "Bo" Davidson, her parents and 4 sisters, Evalee, Edith, Louise and Goldie. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, March 4, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral services for Hyla are scheduled for 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Chaplain Paul Nichols officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow at 1:00 pm in Ft. Gibson National Cemetery in Ft. Gibson, OK.
