Hershel S. Sisney

Hershel S. Sisney, age 85, resident of Coweta passed away peacefully on Friday morning, April 17, 2015 at his home in Coweta, OK. Hershel was born on October 31, 1929 in Coweta, OK to Andrew Jackson and Dora Ann (Pitts) Sisney. He married Estelene Gilbert on March 5, 1949 in Coweta, OK. He owned and operated Sisney's Tree Service for many years until he retired. Hershel is survived by his wife, Estelene Sisney; 1 son, Tony Sisney; 1 daughter, Brenda Riley and husband Tommy; 5 grandchildren, Michael Sisney, Robert Sisney and wife Danielle, LaJuanna Rayl and husband Ron, Tommy Riley and wife Candy, and Colby; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Hershel was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, Larry Sisney, 1 granddaughter, LaDonna Sisney and 1 grandson, Ronnie Dean. Viewing will be from 12 PM to 8 PM on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home with the family present from 6 PM to 8 PM. Funeral services celebrating Hershel's life will be at 2 PM on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at New Home Free Will Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, OK with Rev. Willie Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK. Pallbearers are Lynn Kilgore, Tommy "Boogie" Kilgore, Curtis Gilbert, Daniel Gilbert, Will Kilgore and Mark Davidson. Honorary Pallbearers are Timmy Sisney, Mark Sisney, Grant Gilbert, Brad Hartsfield, Faron Gilbert and David Gilbert.
